Bestdyne supplies a complete range of corona pens to measure surface energy. Bestdyne corona pens conform ASTM D2578-67 and DIN 53 364 standards and available in all values from 30 dyne to 70 dyne

Bestdyne Corona Pens are based on a" Valve Tip Corona Pens" and not "Felt Type Pen".Bestdyne Corona Pens doesn't have ink storage inside the felt.

Principle is;

  1. Keep  from the fluid storage part of the pen
  2. Press the tip firmly down
  3. The valve will be opened
  4. Fresh fluid as flood will come down into the tip
  5. Tip allows the test ink to lightly pass over  the material to accurately determine corona level.

When the bestdyne level ink is applied to the materials, the liquid will either form a continuous film on the surface or reticulate into small droplets. If the bestdyne level ink remains as a continuous film for 3 seconds, the material will have a minimum surface energy of that ink value,. Should the dyne ink reticulate, the surface energy of the substrate is lower than that of the liquid itself. The bestdyne level can be then be determined by applying a range of dyne level inks above or below the measured level.
